Lea Nye

Development and Community Coordinator

Lea Nye

Lea Nye was born and raised in San Antonio, and throughout her life has witnessed countless neighbors, friends, and family be served by the resources of our area’s nonprofits. “San Antonio’s huge heart is personified best when our citizens join together to take care of each other, and make our community the best it can be. San Antonio really is like the biggest ‘small Texas town’ I know.”

Lea graduated from Schreiner University in Kerrville in 1992 with a BA in Mathematics; and from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio in 1997 with a Masters in Business Administration. Lea has worked for Northeast ISD as a high-school math teacher, Methodist Hospital as a statistician, BABN Technologies as a mathematician/programmer, and SBC Communication (now AT&T) in human resources/executive compensation design.

Lea is currently a Trustee at Schreiner University, and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Former Student’s Association in 2017. Additionally, Lea has volunteered countless hours serving her family’s church and school’s Parent Club. Lea, her husband and boys live in the Alamo Heights area. “It makes me so proud that my children will see their mother help strengthening our community through my work at the Masters Leadership Program as the new Development and Community Coordinator.”
